Hello there! 👋
My name is Sherifu Rokko and I’m thrilled to welcome you to this brand new website. For years I have had the desire to explore and develop my creative side, and 2025 is the year that I will be turning that ambition into action!

How we got here?
So glad you asked! 😉
One of my goals for this year is learning to draw and improving my art skills. I will be diving into several self-study art courses and share my experiences, challenges, and (hopefully) progress here on this blog. It’s what I like to call My Illustration Learning Arc, and I’m excited to bring you along for the journey.
Like I said, I’ve had this urge to seriously pick up drawing again for a few years now. And like with most people this urge started during the lockdowns a few years ago. At that time I also used that urge as an excuse to buy a brand new iPad pro and Apple Pencil along with a Udemy “Learn how to draw course”.

I started doing my research by looking up art tutorials, courses and books. During this I discovered an overwhelming amount of information online and that’s where it all went wrong. I ended up getting stuck gathering and consuming art content instead of actually grabbing a pencil and draw. Every time I did pick up the pencil it wasn’t for long that I would get distracted and started to google things like “What is the best digital art tablet?”, “What is the best pencil for art?”, “What is the best method to draw heads?”.
I ended up buying courses and books saying to myself, “If I buy this I will definitely pick it up seriously!” or “If I buy this piece of equipment/gear I will most definitely be finishing the course!”. Fast forward to today and I have gathered a ridiculous amount of art books, courses and equipment/materials.
What’s My plan?
So we’re doing it differently now. I have a history of performing better when being held accountable or having deadlines so I thought “What if I throw my plan to learn drawing out there into the world by documenting it online?”. Maybe that would force my lazy*ss to get in to it properly and actually make progress! 😅

More than just art.
And maybe this blog/website could be more then just about my art journey, it’s also a space for me to grow and experiment with my non-existent content creation skills. I’ve always wanted to dip my toes into content creation so that’s where this website could allow me to kill two birds with one stone. So besides my art journal you might find some other blog posts and articles about:
- Gaming: Reviews, Tips and Experiences.
- Tech: Unboxings and reviews of my latest gadgets and equipment.
- Movies & Anime: Recommendations, fanart and thoughts.
Join the adventure!
This platform is a work in progress, just like my creative learning arc. I hope to build a community where we can share ideas, inspire and motivate each other and enjoy a wide variety of topics together.
Thank you for stopping by, and I look forward to connecting with you through my posts and stories.
See you around,
Sherifu Rokko
